Ripasso della Valpolicella is a red wine from the Veneto region of Italy. The wine is produced by putting Valpolicella Classico under a second fermentation by adding the skins remaining from Amarone and Recioto production.

This winemaking process imparts additional complexity, tannin, body, and slightly higher alcohol to the wine. Both the body and price point of this wine are somewhere between a Valpolicella Classico and a true Amarone.

Ripasso della Valpolicella is a wine based on the Corvina grape, with the addition of Rondinella and Molinara rounding out the blend.

In 2009, Ripasso della Valpolicella received its own DOC designation, along with its cousin, Amarone. In fact, they are sometimes known as “baby Amarone.”

Grapes: Corvina - Corvinone - Rondinella
Yield per hectare: 80 q

Soil: Hilly at about 400m above sea level. The vineyard starts inside an old marl quarry, converted to the cultivation of vines for more than 10 years, and develops on the surrounding slopes with an excellent North-South exposure

Training system: Guyot and Pergola

Harvest: By hand starting from the end of September. Only the grapes ripened to perfection are selected, about a third of which is collected in crates to dry for about 20 days.

Vinification: After the first fermentation in steel tanks, towards the end of February the wine is refermented in contact with the Amarone skins for about 15 days. Aging takes place in barriques and oak tannins for about 24 months. After bottling it is left to rest in the bottle for further refinement of about 6 months.

Alcohol content: 14%
Serving temperature: 16-18 ° C.

- Our staff will manually review all orders of that day. The order review will be completed within 24 hours. It includes checking all customer's info, shipping address, spelling errors, missing street number or other details, etc. Within this period, cancellation is still possible.

- After the order review, all orders of that day will be fulfilled. It includes packaging, sorting, and dispatching. In this stage, NO CANCELLATION is accepted.

All orders are shipped with a tracking number, so you can track it every step of the way!  Packages may face delays beyond our control such as postal delays.

We do have pretty easy and straightforward refund & cancellation policies.  

We will issue a full refund back to your original payment method used IF AND ONLY IF:

- Your order gets lost while in transit.  You may also opt for a resend.  Resends will take 3-7 days, just like placing a new order.

- You received an incorrect item.  In this situation, we will require you to send a photo.  You may also opt for a resend.  Resends will take 3-7 days, just like placing a new order.  If resend, we will email you a prepaid shipping label, and you will need to send the incorrect wine back to us.  

- You received a damaged item.  We will require you to send a proof of damage.  You may also opt for a resend.  Resends will take 3-7 days, just like placing a new order.  If resend, we will email you a prepaid shipping label, and you will need to send the incorrect wine back to us.

- If your order is delayed (more than 20 days) due to reasons we have no control of like postal delay, we will issue a compensation store credit in the form of a coupon code.

We will NOT issue a refund if:

- After 24 hours from placing the order, you have changed your mind and decided not to proceed with the order.

- After 24 hours from placing the order, you have decided to change the wine brand.  Please refer to our RETURN | EXCHANGE policies.

- You have entered an incorrect shipping address or any misspelled info resulting in a failed delivery.

CANCELLATION

We are happy to cancel orders within 24 hours from order placement, because during this stage, it's still under review.  If it's more than 24 hours, that means your order has been fulfilled OR in-queue for dispatch, and cancellation is no longer possible.

BROKEN WINES RECEIVED

For broken wines and you opt for a resend, we will require a proof of damage.  Then, we will send you a new wine, free of charge of course.  Resends will take 3-7 days, just like placing a new order.

If you want a refund, we will issue a full refund back to the original payment method used.

INCORRECT DELIVERY

For incorrect delivery, you may opt for a refund or a replacement.  If refund, we will send you a prepaid shipping label (so that it will be no cost to you), and you will need to send the incorrect wine back to us.  Then, we will issue a full refund back to the original payment method used.

If replacement, still you will need to send the incorrect wine back to us, and we will send you a prepaid shipping label.  Then, we will send you a new wine, free of charge of course.  Resends will take 3-7 days, just like placing a new order.

If you receive a correct item and you just want to replace it with a different wine, you will need to send the original wine back to us at your own expense.  Then, once we receive it, we will issue a store credit in the form of a code, and you will use that store credit to make a new purchase.

We will require some proofs of damage or incorrect delivery like a photo or a video.
